FOTIA MOVES ON

It is with regret that the AFL Outer East has accepted the resignation of Media Manager Matthew Fotia, who has accepted a role at the Eastern Football Netball League.

Fotia thanked all those involved at the AFL Outer East for giving him this opportunity and for creating a fantastic working environment.

“First off I would like to thank Aaron Bailey and the AFL Outer East commission for providing me the chance to work in the field, something I have always wanted to do, that is something I will always be thankful for,”

“Secondly to the staff at the AFL Outer East and to the Media Team of Leo Groenewegen, Jason Sach, Nathan Walsh, Jesse Busacca and Beth Hutchison – thank you so much for creating a wonderful working atmosphere which made the job both enjoyable and seamless,”

“Third, thank you to all club personnel who were more than accommodating when it came to interviews, player access and everything in between,”

“I will always be proud of the work myself and others have achieved in the media space at the AFL Outer East and wish all members, both at league and club level, the very best and I hope to see this growing league flourish in the coming years.”

AFL Outer East Region General Manager Aaron Bailey thanked Fotia for his efforts in the role across his time with the league.

“Matt has been a great asset to our organisation and has improved the Outer East’s Media presence across all platforms immensely during his time with us,”

“We wish Matt well in his new role at the EFNL. Matt brought a diverse skill set to the role and formed strong relationships across the competition. He leaves behind a great framework for the league to build on,”

“The process for finding Matt’s replacement has begun, with applications for this role opening shortly.
