BOUNDARY UMPIRE COACH WANTED

 AFL Outer East

Position:  Head Coach – Boundary Umpiring 2020 

  • Emerald / Lilydale Training Facility

We are looking for a Coach to head up our Boundary Umpiring Division in AFL Outer East 

  1. Advise Boundary Umpires involved in AFLOE matches of all aspects of their duties using the following as a base from which to work;
  • Information contained in Level 1 & 2 Accreditation Courses
  • The Laws of Australian Football
  • Playing conditions etc., as set down by the EFL from time to time
  • 2020 Umpires Guidelines Booklet
  1. Prepare a program and conduct Coaching sessions on Wednesday nights (6.00pm) or have other coaches present those sessions.
  1. Conduct specific training drills to assist umpires with the learning what is expected of them whilst carrying out their duties
  2. Appoint Boundary umpires to all scheduled Games on a weekly basis throughout the season and ensure they are entered into Schedula by 12pm on the Tuesday prior to that weekends’ matches
  3. Observe Boundary Umpires in AFLOE matches played on a Saturday

This position requires that you are available every Wednesday at our training venue from 6pm to 7.30pm

  • Strong development focus
  • strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • basic computer skills
  • level 1 or be willing to undertake a Level 1 Coaching Certificate
