This weekend Healesville play their last game of the season against Wandin at home, in a season that will be remembered for four of their long serving senior players reaching significant milestones, with Ash Hamer playing 200 senior games, Jodi Chandler playing 250 senior netball games and Daniel Plozza playing 300 senior games and last weekend out at Beaconsfield Casey ‘Patch’ Adams playing his 250th senior game at Healesville Football Netball Club. Casey shared a special moment as he ran through the banner with his three children Peyton, Ryder and Leo.

Casey is a true blood following in the footsteps of his very popular and much-loved father Mark, who was a club champion playing over 200 senior games, and with brother Kane who played 300 plus senior and reserves games. The trio have now played 800 plus games for the senior club.

Wearing the number one Guernsey just like his dad, Casey has played all of his games in the back half but occasionally will sneak forward and kick a goal before duly letting everyone know about it.

 A very reliable and dashing defender noted for high and specular marking, Casey was part of one of the club’s great backlines playing alongside Luke Barclay and Daniel Plozza for over 16 seasons.

A few injuries and work commitments have delayed this much anticipated milestone, in fact in 2016 after missing many weeks with a badly broken arm, Casey showed great courage and commitment to get himself right to play a big part in the team’s premiership win.

Casey is also a product of our junior club starting in the under 10’s back in 1994 going on to play in all grades until 2002 when he joined the senior club, playing 48 games with the  under 18 over three seasons.

In 2004 – still eligible for under 18’s – Casey was promoted to the senior side playing nine games for the season and has been a senior player ever since, winning multiple awards until this day.

After being awarded most improved in 2006 Casey has gone on to achieve the following;

TWO TIME SENIOR BEST & FAIREST

BLOOD BROTHER AWARD

MARK ADAMS AWARD

SENIOR PREMIERSHIP PLAYER Division Two – 2013

SENIOR PREMIERSHIP PLAYER Division One –  2016

INTERLEAGUE PLAYER

CASEY is a terrific servant to the mighty Bloods and we hope he enjoyed the day with his family and team mates and we congratulate him once again on reaching this milestone.
