Score Review Finding

The matter of the Score review into the Round 8 Monbulk V Healesville Seniors match on 16-6-18 has reached a finding.

 

The Monbulk FNC raised with the AFL Yarra Ranges office that they were disputing the result of the match in the days following said match, in that an extra point was added to Healesville’s score in the 3rd Qtr.

 

As part of the leagues Dispute resolution procedure an Arbiter was appointed to investigate the issue.

 

Upon receiving the Arbiters report the Commission concluded from the evidence provided that the match be deemed a Draw.

 

Healesville FNC appealed this decision to the AFL Yarra Ranges Tribunal.

 

Healesville FNC, Monbulk FNC and AFL Yarra Ranges Commission were represented at the hearing.

 

The result of the Tribunals finding are as follows;

 

The finding of the AFL Yarra Ranges Commission on 03/07/2018 was reversed and Healesville have been declared the winner as per the original result of the game.   

 

 

All decisions made and actions conducted throughout this process have been subject to the principles of natural justice.  Whilst AFL Yarra Ranges had the option to appeal the Tribunals decision to AFL Victoria it was decided that it is not in the best interest to escalate this matter as a decision had been made by an independent body. The AFL Yarra Ranges now views this decision as final and binding.
